Ron Paul ~ Hope 4 America!

Ron Paul was biggest GOP fundraiser last quarter

Well, it’s official, ladies and gentlemen. Believe it or not, Rep. Ron Paul, the 72-year-old Texan who hardly ever gets mentioned in Republican political news and the one-time libertarian who always gets the least time on TV debates if he isn’t barred completely, was, in fact, the most successful Republican fundraiser in the last three months of 2007.

The American Conservative Magazine Endorses Ron Paul for President

“Only [Ron Paul] has put forth a diagnosis of America’s current ills and has a vision to turn America off its misguided course.”

The presidential fields of both parties have narrowed, and the arguments about how we should move forward are now familiar. TAC believes that only one candidate has put forth a diagnosis of America’s current ills and has a vision to turn the country off its misguided course. That is Congressman Ron Paul, whom we endorse for the Republican nomination.

Ron Paul Campaign: You say you want a revolution?

Last night, over 60,000 people stood up and asked for an end to the runaway violation of our liberties. But contrary to the impression you may be getting from the mainstream media, no national delegates have yet been won in Florida. Those delegates will only be awarded between February 6 and April 30 at delegate selection caucuses, and many of those delegates will be supporters of Dr. Paul.

The Alabama Republican Assembly endorsed Ron Paul at their state convention today in Birmingham.

The endorsement required a 2/3rd majority of registered delegates. Ron Paul received the 2/3rd on the first ballot. Mike Huckabee came in second. Convention chair Elaine Little noted that, with the crowded field, it was unusual that an endorsement would be won on the first ballot.

The group also held a straw poll that was open to the public. The winner of the straw poll was Ron Paul, with 81%.

“Ron Paul’s grassroots support is second to none among all other Republican campaigns this cycle,” stated attorney Tom Davis, Vice President of the ALRA and delegate to the endorsing convention. “The results of our straw poll parallel the results in most straw polls throughout the country. Ron Paul has clearly excited many new people and energized them to get involved in the political process. The Republican Party should be grateful for all the ‘new blood’ coming in as a result of Congressman Paul’s message of freedom and returning to the Constitution.”

The Alabama Republican Assembly is a grass-roots volunteer organization chartered by the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. Ronald Reagan referred to the NFRA as “the conscience if the Republican Party.”

Thank You, Nevada! Ron Paul Gets the Silver in the Silver State

The hard work and dedication of our Nevada campaign and supporters has paid off with a second place finish — thank you! We beat the pollsters’ expectations and, of course, we beat McCain, Huckabee, Thompson, Giuliani, and Hunter. Here’s our news release:

RENO, NEVADA – Ron Paul finished second in the Nevada Republican presidential caucuses today, defying recent polls that had the Texas congressman finishing in fourth, fifth or sixth place.

According to results reported on the Nevada GOP’s website, Congressman Paul placed second with 13 percent, topping John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani.

“Ron Paul has once again topped multiple media-anointed ‘frontrunners’ with his poll-defying second place showing in Nevada,” said Ron Paul campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “We’re in this race to win, and we’re going to battle for every delegate in this wide-open race for the Republican nomination.”
